Gustavo Arciniegas (PhD) is an independent consultant with +10-years experience in collaborative GIS, Geodesign and sustainable spatial planning. His background is Geoinformatics and he holds a PhD degree in Map-based decision support tools for collaborative land use planning. His research interests are Geodesign, Sustainable Development, and Planning Support Systems that include collaborative instruments (hardware and processware). He is the lead consultant and director of Geo-Col GIS and collaborative planning, a Netherlands-based consultancy firm/SME, which currently is a partner of the h2020 project consortium of REPAiR, which focuses integrating Geodesign, Life Cycle Analysis, Sustainability Assessments and Living Labs for improving metropolitan waste management in European cities.
