With a background in Industrial Design Engineering (2020), Merel is able to identify consumer needs and available resources, as well as barriers and possible solutions. Using several participatory tools and design thinking methods, she aims to activate and enable communities and participants to collaborate towards the desired outcome with a lasting impact. At SusMetro, Merel is working on innovation management, participatory tool development and education research. She is passionate about local food production and will always cook with pure ingredients from scratch.
