As part of its coordination role in WP3 – Innovation and Data-Driven Transition of the EU project CLEVERFOOD, and in close collaboration with sister projects VISIONARY and BEATLES, SusMetro has led the development of this forward-looking policy brief.
The brief delivers clear policy recommendations and practical guidance to help break systemic lock-ins and accelerate the transition towards sustainable food value chains across Europe. It operationalises CLEVERFOOD’s Food 2030 Unlock Strategy, enriched with concrete insights and case examples from two additional FOOD 2030 projects.
By connecting strategy with implementation, the policy brief supports policymakers, practitioners, and innovation actors in driving meaningful and systemic change in Europe’s agri-food systems.
